Zenith vs Pendo

Analytics as the product, not a tab beside onboarding

Pendo is a product-experience platform: in-app guides, onboarding walkthroughs, NPS surveys and feature adoption inside a signed-in application. Analytics is one part of that. If you are measuring a website rather than steering users through software, most of Pendo is aimed elsewhere.

Zenith vs Pendo, feature by feature

Including the rows Zenith loses. Where Pendo has something behind a paid tier or a plugin, the table says so rather than pretending it is missing.

A different product entirely

Pendo's centre of gravity is guiding users inside an application: tooltips, walkthroughs, onboarding checklists, in-product surveys. Those need a signed-in app to live in. A marketing site, a blog or a client's brochure site has nowhere to put them, which leaves you paying for a platform to use one tab of it.

What a website actually needs

For a website the questions are narrow: how many people came, where from, what did they read, on what device, and is the SEO sound. Zenith answers exactly those and adds an SEO audit and a monthly client email. Pendo can report on web traffic, but it is not what the product is for, and it shows in both the interface and the price.

Pricing and who signs

Pendo is sold on enterprise terms, generally per monthly active user with a sales conversation attached. For an agency looking after a dozen small client sites that model does not fit the shape of the work at all. Zenith is one server, no seats, no per-site fee and no contract, because it is software you run rather than a service you buy.

Choose Pendo if

You have a signed-in product and you need to onboard users, run in-app surveys and measure feature adoption together. Zenith has none of that and never will. This comparison exists because the two get shortlisted together, not because they do the same job.
